Environment Canada has ended it's rainfall warning for Windsor-Essex.
According to the weather agency, anywhere from 25 mm to 40 mm of rain is expected by Saturday evening.
The rain is then expected to turn to snow later in the evening. Up to 4 cm of snowfall accumulation is possible and Environment Canada is warning motorists to be careful of slippery roads while driving.
They add that with the heavy rainfall, localized flooding is possible in low-lying areas and that children and pets should be kept away from creeks and river banks.
