The latest Windsor street to get bike lanes is Totten Street.
Crews will start working to install buffered bike lanes on the west end street between South Cameron Boulevard and Hillcrest Boulevard Monday, but the work is expected to last until June.
It will mean widening the road to accommodate bike lanes in each direction.
Drivers along that stretch are reminded to slow down and respect flag persons on site.
Any damage to properties along that stretch of Totten Street will be repaired, and the City of Windsor reminds property owners to keep in mind ongoing construction on garbage and recycling collection days.
Once the work is done, the bike lanes will offer cyclists a valuable connection between recently constructed bike lanes on South Cameron Boulevard and Prince Road, along with the trail that passes through the South Cameron woodlot off of Randolph Avenue.
