A drug bust has resulted in the arrests of two people accused of running an operation in downtown Windsor.
Members of the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit (DIGS) and the City Centre Patrol executed a search warrant on a house on Bruce Avenue near University Avenue West on Thursday afternoon. Two people at the residence were arrested without incident.
Police seized close to 50 individually-prepared baggies, each containing about 0.1 gram of suspected crystal methamphetamine. Also removed from the house was 0.5 grams of suspected fentanyl, cell phones, a digital scale, and an undisclosed amount of Canadian money.
Sabrina Kilppenstein, 29, of Windsor, is charged with possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine for trafficking purposes, possession of suspected fentanyl, facilitating a breach of recognizance, and three counts of breach of recognizance.
Thanh Ha, 55, of Windsor, is charged with possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine for trafficking purposes, as well as three counts of breach of recognizance.
These charges have not been proven in court.
