UPDATE: Stabbing near downtown Windsor

Police in Windsor have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect after a stabbing Monday morning.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. at an apartment building at 1616 Ouellette Ave. A man suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Windsor Police Staff Sergeant Steve Betteridge said the suspect has been positively identified and an arrest warrant has been issued for him. His name is Kyle Miles of no fixed address and he is wanted for aggravated assault. He is a white, 22-year-old man with a thin build, wavy dirty blonde hair, approximately 5'11" in height, weighing approximately 150 pounds, brown eyes, and numerous tattoos.  When he was last seen, he had on a pair of brown pants and no shirt.

Police said it is possible that he is armed with a knife and the public should not approach him.

Call 911 if he is spotted.

An investigation determined that the victim and the suspect know each other.

"While inside the apartment unit an altercation took place during which the victim was stabbed by the suspect," police said in a news release Tuesday afternoon. "The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival."
