OPP seeks information in assault at fireworks show

If you witnessed an assault at a local Victoria Day fireworks show, the OPP would like to talk to you.

Police are looking for witnesses to an incident that took place at Green Acres Park in Tecumseh on the night of May 20, when the town's annual Victoria Day weekend fireworks display was wrapping up.

OPP Constable Stephanie Moniz said a group of females attacked another female in the park after the fireworks show. The victim suffered injuries as a result.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident who has not already spoken to police is asked to contact the Tecumseh OPP detachment at (519) 735-2424. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.
