Police investigate after pickup intentionally set on fire

Officers with the Windsor Police Service Arson Unit hope the public can help after someone purposely set a pickup truck on fire.

Officers patrolling the area arrived at a home on Mark Avenue between Everts Avenue and LaBelle Street around 8 a.m. May 28 after flames erupted in a white Dodge Ram.

The flames were out before the officers got there, but not before causing extensive damage to the truck and damaging the side of a house.

Investigators believe the fire started around 5:30 a.m.

No one was hurt, but police ask anyone with information to call the Arson Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4330, Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477, or leave a tip online at www.catchcrooks.com.
