The City of Windsor is about to embark on a million-dollar makeover of the Bruce Avenue Park.
Fencing is expected to start going up around the park Friday.
The park will stay open until July 8 but will close for the summer after that date.
The park is getting a new shelter, new pathways, lighting, a new basketball court, new benches, and new trees will be planted.
Bruce Avenue Park is just the latest park to get a facelift. Other city parks that have received a major overall include Wigle Park, Mitchell Park, Relator Park, and Bridgeview Park. The upgrades were approved by city council in 2016.
The city recommends park visitors go to Mitchell Park, nearby, during the renovations in Bruce Avenue Park.
