The heavy downpours experienced by portions of Windsor-Essex over the weekend continue to cause problems on some roads.
The Town of LaSalle has once again closed a portion of Front Road after water from the nearby Detroit River continued to spill on the roadway. Town officials closed the road between Laurier Drive and Martin Lane before reopening it again Monday night.
**July 8 at 9:45 pm - the water on Front Road has receded. The road is now open. Please continue to use caution in the area as water levels may continue to fluctuate due to wind shifts and lane/road closures may again be necessary. https://t.co/WA7a6SvJRG

Front Road had been closed Sunday night due to flooding but had reopened Monday morning except for curb lanes in at least one area.
The flooding also forced the closing of the Riverdance, LaSalle Outdoor Pool, Front Road Park and the boat ramp. A representative from the town of LaSalle told BlackburnNewsWindsor.com Monday afternoon that swimming lessons were moved for the day to the Vollmer Complex, and will be cancelled entirely for Tuesday.
Meanwhile, County Road 50 in Kingsville was reopened Monday afternoon after Cedar Creek spilt its banks. Drivers are urged to use caution still when travelling that road between the Cedar Creek Conservation Area and Ford Road.
