Four boaters were rescued by Lakeshore OPP and the United States Coast Guard (USCG).
On Thursday around 6:45 p.m. Essex County OPP responded to a marine incident.
Three passengers on a sailboat in Lake St. Clair called 911 for the boat owner/operator who had fallen overboard without a lifejacket.
The three passengers aboard were not able to bring the boat under control.
OPP Lakeshore officers found the sailboat and were able to gain control of the boat.
The USCG found the boat operator, who had been treading water for around 30 minutes. The operator did not have any injuries.
The OPP would like to remind all boaters to always wear a lifejacket and take all necessary safety precautions.
