Two men have been arrested after an eagle-eyed citizen spotted some suspicious activity in south Windsor.
Police said a witness saw two men allegedly trying to open vehicles in a parking lot on Dougall Avenue near Norfolk Street on Monday night and gave officers a description. In one case, investigators said the pair was seen allegedly using tools to pry open the door of an unoccupied parked vehicle.
The suspects were gone by the time officers arrived but were found later. One man was arrested while allegedly in possession of break-in tools on Dougall Avenue while the other suspect was tracked down by police dog Fuse and was arrested on Bruce Avenue near West Grand Boulevard.
Derrick Labelle, 33, and Nicholas Thomas, 28, both of no fixed address, have been charged with mischief and possession of break-in tools.
