Man charged after gun investigation

An investigation into possession of illegal weapons has led to charges in Windsor.

Windsor Police's Drugs and Guns (DIGS) Unit had focused on a home on Albert Road near Whelpton Street, looking into a report of an illegal firearm in the residence. After a suspect was identified, a search warrant was obtained to enter the house and search it.

The search was executed on Wednesday, and police located a rifle and magazine. The suspect, identified by police as 36-year-old Casey Moore, was arrested without incident.

Moore is charged with a series of firearm-related offences, including improper storage of a firearm, and possessing a firearm without a licence. These charges have yet to be proven in court.
