A Windsor grandmother will be able to keep her family warm after winning a new Lennox Variable-Capacity gas furnace from Fahrhall.
Linda Gauthier was nominated four separate times by her granddaughter, Chelsey Cacilhas, her son, Chad Gauthier, daughters Michelle Gauthier and Susan Bulley.
Gauthier also won a $250 gift card to the Habitat Restore, vehicle service worth $500 at Motor City Chrysler, $500 in cash from Team Goran Remax, and $300 cash from the Hope for a Cure Thrift Store.
"My grandparents are both the most giving and helpful to all their kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids," wrote Cacilhas. "With a big family, they still show their love to all and are there whenever needed, especially to literally save my life when I drowned as a kid!"
Son, Chad, wrote, "They have raised me, my four siblings, and my nephew, and have done everything for everyone else and never asked for anything in return."
"They will go through the winter with heat from an electric fireplace til they can get the money saved up to get a new furnace," continued Bulley.
MIX 96.7 took submissions from across Windsor-Essex during December.
"After reading through many worthy and heartfelt nomination letters, a winner was chosen," said Marketing and Promotions Manager, Candice Dennis. "It wasn't easy, but with four nominations, this one was hard to miss."
