The Windsor Spitfires edged the Erie Otters 4-3 on Saturday.
Ruben Rafkin kicked off the game for the Spitfires with a goal 1:37 into the first period.
Chad Yetman responded with a powerplay goal for the Otters 1:25 into the second period and Windsor's Curtis Douglas answered with a goal 3:25 into the frame. Kyen Sopa scored the Otters' second powerplay goal putting the game at a tie.
Kyle McDonald broke the tie putting the Spitfires in the lead by one 3:19 into the period. Daniel D'Amico extended that lead with a goal 833 into the frame. The Otters' Hayden Fowler scored the final goal of the night 11:41 into the frame.
Windsor goalie Xavier Medina saved 28 out of 31 shots on net.
The Spitfires will face-off against the Saginaw Spirit on Sunday at the WFCU Centre. Puck drops at 2:05 p.m.
