Fatal crash victim was from Windsor

Charges are not expected after a two-vehicle crash in Lakeshore claimed the life of a Windsor resident.

The Ontario Provincial Police said a pick-up truck collided head-on with a tractor trailer at the intersection of County Road 31 at County Road 42, shortly before 3:40 p.m. on Monday.

While a name has not been released, police said on Wednesday that a 55-year-old Windsor resident, who was driving the pick-up truck, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to hospital as a precaution but was not injured.

The OPP's Technical Collision Investigation unit attended the scene and completed an investigation. No charges are anticipated, police said.
