Few details have been released, but officers responded to a home on Mercer Street near Elliott Street East on Thursday at around 11 a.m. The home in question was contained by officers until around 8:30 p.m.
Police said a weapon may have been involved.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to the sexual assault of a child.
