Man impersonating police officer in Lakeshore

Provincial police are looking for a person who impersonated a police officer in Lakeshore last week.

The OPP is investigating after a woman was pulled over by a vehicle with red and blue flashing lights around 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 23. The car pulled over near the intersection of Naylor Side Road and North Talbot Road. A man wearing clothing resembling the uniform of a police officer approached the driver's side window.

The individual is described as a tall and fit white man, approximately 30-40 years old, with short brown hair and a scruffy beard.

Officers have confirmed that the individual involved was not a police officer. Anyone with information who can help identify the man is asked to call the OPP at 519-723-2491 or 1-888-310-1122.
