Police release sketch of suspect impersonating a police officer

The Ontario Provincial Police have released a composite sketch of a man wanted for impersonating a police officer.

The incident happened a 9 p.m. on April 23 on Naylor Side Road near North Talbot Road. Police said a woman was pulled over by a vehicle with red and blue flashing lights. A man approached the driver's side of the vehicle wearing clothes similar to a police uniform. The person asked the driver questions relating to her essential services status.

The vehicle was described as a small, black and white older model, four-door vehicle similar to a Ford Taurus. The vehicle had a roof-mounted emergency light bar with red and blue alternating lights.

The OPP has confirmed that the man was not a police officer. Officers are looking for help to identify the individual.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30-40-years-old, tall and fit, having short brown hair and a scruffy beard.
