Kingsville residents asked for input on public schools

Residents are being asked by the local public school board for their thoughts on a new school in Kingsville.

The Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB) has drawn up a community survey to gauge what area residents may want in a new K-12 school. Site selection and design of the new building has already begun.

Kingsville District High School will eventually be replaced, along with Jack Miner Public School and Kingsville Public School. Students that graduate from Harrow Public School will attend high school in the new Kingsville facility.

The new school will be built on an extension of Jasperson Drive near Kingsville Arena. The GECDSB board approved the 25.1-acre land purchase in November 2019.

Residents can take the survey on the official GECDSB website.
