Man charged after sexual assault in Leamington

A man is facing charges after a sexual assault in Leamington on July 5.

Provincial police were called to a house around 3 a.m., after a woman reported she was assaulted by a stranger who then took off.

The OPP Crime Unit identified a suspect and later made an arrest.

Juan Pancacoj Cojti, 32, from the Republic of Guatemala is charged with break and enter, committing an indictable offence - sexual assault, and forcible confinement. He remains in custody. None of the charges have been proven in court.
