Windsor Fire and Rescue said two people suffered smoke inhalation after a fire at an east-side townhouse.
It happened shortly after midnight Monday morning on Meadowbrook Lane just off Essex Way. When crews arrived on scene, the townhouse's lower level was enveloped in smoke.
The fire, which began in a basement utility room, was quickly put out.
Two people suffered minor smoke inhalation and were treated and released from hospital.
The cause of the blaze is undetermined, fire officials said later Monday, but the damage estimate is at $100,000.
