Victim identified in Highway 3 motorcycle crash

The Ontario Provincial Police has identified a man killed over the weekend in a motorcycle crash.

It happened on Friday at around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 3, west of Walker Road in Tecumseh. The OPP said the motorcyclist crashed into another motor vehicle.

The motorcycle rider, identified on Monday by the OPP as 38-year-old Michael Abaldo of Tecumseh, was rushed to a local hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

The only occupant of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries.

Tecumseh Fire and Rescue assisted OPP at the scene, along with Essex-Windsor EMS.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information who has not already spoken with investigators is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
