An extra looney pays off for Amherstburg man

An extra dollar spent on playing the lottery resulted in a big payday for an Amherstburg man.

Chris Inch put down an additional looney while playing the OLG's Lotto Max draw on September 15. The extra dollar activated the Encore feature, where the player may win additional cash prizes.

Inch's ticket matched six of the last seven digits of the Encore number drawn, and it ended up making Inch $100,000 richer.

The winner picked up his cheque at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto Monday.

The winning ticket was bought at the Canadian Tire gas bar on Sandwich Street in Amherstburg.

The OLG is taking prize claims by appointment only due to COVID-19 control restrictions. Players who are owed at least $1,000 in winnings should call the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098 to inquire about claiming their prize.
