City council to hold telephone townhall meetings in October

After a very successful telephone town hall meeting in August for Ward 7 residents, Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens will host a series of similarly-styled meetings next month.

There will be five meetings starting on October 6. Each one will cover two wards.

Residents will hear a presentation from Dilkens and the ward councillors before the session is opened up for questions.

For Wards 4 and 5, the meeting will be on October 6. Residents in Wards 8 and 9 can take part in the town hall on October 7. The date is October 8 for Wards 2 and 3.

The meeting for Wards 1 and 10 is scheduled the following week on October 13, and on October 15, residents in Wards 6 and 7 will be invited.

All the meetings start at 6:30 p.m.

Residents will get the call on their landlines, but those who want to take part on their cell phones by pre-register online at least two days in advance.

At its peak, the town hall in Ward 7 in August, saw more than 1,400 residents take part.
