A Leamington man is facing a hefty fine after a party at an apartment on Talbot Street West.
The Ontario Provincial Police went to the apartment early Sunday morning after a noise complaint. When they arrived, they found more than 20 people inside, which violates the Reopening Ontario Act.
The 54-year-old Leamington man was issued a Provincial Offences Notice, which carries a fine of $750 upon conviction.
Essex County OPP said they will continue to investigate violations under the act and charge those individuals who fail to comply in the interest of public safety.
