There will be social distancing measures in place, but the Downtown Mission in Windsor plans to go ahead with its annual Thanksgiving dinner.
With about 250 people expected to come by on Monday between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m, the Mission said it would be taking precautions in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, the Mission is the recipient of a donation of turkeys, ham, and potatoes from community philanthropist Sam Sinjari.
"The period just before Thanksgiving is a time when awareness for people living in poverty, and with hunger, receives heightened attention in our community," read a release from the Mission. "Our community is blessed to have generous individuals who come forward and make a positive impact in the lives of people who are hurting."
The Downtown Mission is located at 664 Victoria Avenue in Windsor.
