COVID-19 case identified at Roseland Public School

An individual at Roseland Public School has tested positive for COVID-19.

The school has been working with the Windsor Essex County Health Unit to provide lists of staff and students who may have had contact with the individual. All close contacts were notified by the health unit over the weekend and are following the directions of the health unit.  The school remains open.

If a parent has not been notified by the health unit then their child has not been identified as a close contact of the individual who has tested positive.  Parents are asked to monitor their children for symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, cough, difficulty breathing and change in smell or taste.

This is the third case identified at the Greater Essex County District School Board since school began in September.

There have been no school outbreaks at any Windsor-Essex County school to date.  In the last week, two unlinked cases were identified at the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board.
