Mothers Against Drunk Driving starts its Red Ribbon campaign today, but it is doing it a little differently this year.
It's launching a 50-50 raffle Monday.
Tickets are available online, and those who enter are encouraged to check back often to watch the jackpot grow.
The promotion includes an Early Bird Draw for $500 in American Express gift cards. The deadline for that is 11:59 p.m. on November 17. The winning ticket will be announced the next day.
The deadline to enter the 50-50 draw is 11:59 a.m. December 10, and the winning ticket will be drawn on December 11.
Funds raised will support MADD Canada's efforts to prevent impaired driving, and support victims and survivors of impaired driving-related crashes.
In-person events to promote the Project Red Ribbon will be limited this year because of the pandemic. However, thousands of red ribbons and decals will be distributed for people to display on their vehicles as a sign of their commitment to drive sober.
