Windsor police have characterized a Remembrance Day fire as suspicious.
Officers were called to help at a house fire on Prince Street near Peter Street shortly after midnight on Wednesday. When they arrived, they saw a house on fire, but it was quickly put out by Emergency Services personnel.
No injuries were reported, but the home did sustain some damage, said Constable Talya Natyshak.
The officers conducted an initial investigation and determined that the fire was suspicious. An arson investigation was launched and the Forensic Identification Unit was called to process the scene.
Police are asking anyone with information on this incident to contact them. Anyone in the neighbourhood with surveillance cameras is being asked to check the footage and call police if they notice anything unusual.
