A case of COVID-19 has been linked to General Brock Public School.
The Greater Essex County District School Board has been working with the Windsor Essex County Health Unit to identify any high-risk contacts among staff and students.
The school remains open. All affected students and staff have been notified by the health unit and are following its directions. If a parent has not been notified, their child has not been identified as a high-risk contact and they may continue to attend school as usual.
Parents are asked to continue to monitor their children for possible symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, cough, and shortness of breath. If your child is exhibiting symptoms they should stay home from school.
This is the 76th case of COVID-19 identified within the GECDSB. An outbreak has been declared at Begley school where 49 students and staff have tested positive for the virus. That school is closed until further notice.
