Crews responded to the smoke filled home located in the 1100 block of Marion Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday at which time residents were asked to stay inside.
Officials confirmed on Twitter that firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly but remain on the scene as of 11 p.m.

The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
