The Windsor Essex County Healthy Unit has rescinded a COVID-19 outbreak at the Windsor Police Service.
The outbreak was only confined to one area and Windsor Police said it had no significant impact on frontline service delivery.
It was rescinded on Tuesday.
The outbreak was first declared on January 4 after at least two members of the service tested positive for the virus. They were sent home to self-isolate and there were no additional cases.
They are back on the job now.
An workplace outbreak is declared when two or more employees test positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, police are making some changes to minimize any future risks of transmission, including mandating face coverings in all common areas and shared workspaces. The public will need to wear a face mask too.
Windsor Police Service Headquarters is still closed to the general public, but some services are offered online.
The public can report general thefts, mischief, fraud and identity theft, sexual assaults, and traffic complaints on its webpage.
Those crimes can also be reported by calling the Telephone Reporting Centre at 5e19-258-6111.
Motor vehicle collisions can also be reported online.
The public is reminded 911 must only be used in the event of an emergency.
