Police share more information on attempted murder suspect

A man suspected in a weekend shooting is still being sought by Windsor police.

Officers were called to the area of Downing Street and Baldwin Avenue on Saturday on a shots-fired complaint. A vehicle with damage caused by a gunshot was discovered, but no injuries were reported.

Investigators say two people sitting in another vehicle shot at the victim's vehicle before taking off, and the victim was acquainted with the suspects.

One of the suspects was arrested on Sunday, but police are still looking for 20-year-old Robert Labrecque, who is wanted for attempted murder and possession of a dangerous weapon.

On Thursday afternoon, police released an image of Labrecque from a security camera, in which tattoos on his left hand are visible. The public is asked to take a close look at the photo. If Labrecque is seen, residents are told not to approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous. Call 911 immediately.

Anyone with additional information on this incident can call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
