The Windsor police are investigating a string of arsons on the city's west side.
Around 4 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a fire on Church Street near Karl Street. The fire was extinguished and officers deemed the blaze suspicious.
While they were on scene, a witness alerted police to another fire in the alley near Wyandotte Street West and Church Street. Officers then discovered a charred fence down the block.
Police were called to another property on Wyandotte Street around 7 a.m. for a report of arson. They found surveillance video footage of an unknown person attempting to light a garbage bag on fire. The suspect is described as wearing a parka with a fur hood.
Another arson was reported on Thursday on Victoria Avenue where a pile of cardboard was burnt and damaged a building.
Due to the proximity of these incidents, investigators believe the fires may be related.
Investigators are asking residents in the area to check any security cameras to check their footage for any possible evidence.
