VIDEO: Police seek person in Louis Avenue surveillance video

Investigators with Windsor Police are hoping to identify a person who they believe may have information related to the city's first homicide of 2021.

Windsor police were called to a home in the area of Louis Avenue and Cataraqui Street at around 2 p.m. on February 23. When officers arrived, they found a deceased man inside.

The deceased was identified as 55-year-old Lamont Rhue from Windsor.

On February 26, police arrested 33-year-old Leon Quesnel from Windsor. He was charged with first-degree murder as well as possession of a scheduled substance that police identified to be fentanyl.

On Monday, police released a video of an individual captured on surveillance video that may have information regarding the ongoing homicide investigation.

According to police, the person captured on video was walking in the 800 block of Louis Avenue on Monday, February 22  at approximately 10:50 pm.

The Major Crime Unit is seeking any information that may help identify the person captured on camera.
