WPS arrest three for string of thefts

Three people are facing charges in relation to a string of thefts of catalytic converters in Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service Property Crimes Unit launched the investigation and identified a suspect vehicle and multiple suspects.

Officers saw a rental truck connected with one of the suspects driving on Sandwich Street on March 4, 2021. They confirmed a catalytic converter was stolen in the area.

Investigators then saw the truck in a parking lot on Huron Church Road and witnessed a man get out of the vehicle and go underneath another parked vehicle.

Officers placed the suspect under arrest for attempted theft.

Two women were found inside the truck and arrested without incident.

Nicole Lacroix, Nicholas Pomainville, and Lisa Theoret are all facing charges in connection to the investigation. The charges have not been proven in court.
