Road rage leads to charges

A man is facing weapons charges after a road rage incident in Windsor over the weekend.

Around 6 p.m. Sunday, drivers of two vehicles in the area of Moy Street and Wyandotte Street East got into an altercation. The two vehicles then entered an alley in the area of Gladstone Avenue and Wyandotte Street. The driver of a black Lincoln got out of his vehicle and pointed a firearm at the other driver.

Police identified a suspect, who was later found outside a home in Windsor near the vehicle in question. The suspect was arrested and police got a search warrant for the residence. However, no firearm was recovered.

James Summerfield, 34, is facing charges of possessing a weapon, threatening to use a weapon, having a face masked with intent to commit a crime, and failing to comply with a release order. The charges have been proven in court.
