Police investigate stolen vehicle fire

The Ontario Provincial Police hope the public will help them investigate a fire involving a stolen vehicle.

Around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, police and firefighters responded to a call about a vehicle fire on Sylvestre Drive.

Once firefighters put the blaze out, police started investigating and discovered the vehicle had been stolen from a home in Windsor.

The owner had no idea the vehicle was missing.

The OPP has not said from where in Windsor the vehicle was stolen.

Police hope any business owners on Sylvestre Drive will check their surveillance video footage for anything that may point them in the direction of a suspect.

Anyone with information can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or leave a tip online at www.catchcrooks.com.
