Former Sears site to be used as mass vaccination centre

The former Sears store at Devonshire Mall will become a mass vaccination site starting next month.

It will replace the Windsor Regional Hospital run locations, the Windsor Hall and the St. Clair College Sportsplex.

The new site will open on Monday, June 21, 2021. Vaccinations will continue to be done by appointment only.

The move is being made to give the University of Windsor and St. Clair College back the facilities in preparation for the fall semester.

Appointments will continue at the Windsor Hall Vaccination Centre until June 19, 2021. Any appointment booked after that time will be moved to Devonshire Mall for the same date and time.

The St. Clair College Sportsplex will continue to be used as a vaccine site until July 21, 2021. The hospital will vacate the facility on July 22, 2021.

The space at Devonshire Mall is being rented to the hospital for $1.
