Need proof you've had your COVID-19 shot? Here's how to get it

Windsor Regional Hospital is telling people who need proof they've had at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, they should visit a new Ontario government website.

The hospital has received a lot of calls from people who want proof they've had the vaccine.

When you get your shot, you should have received a paper receipt and an email. The hospital strongly recommends hanging on to those and keeping them in a safe place.

If you don't have it, you can go online to download a digital and printable copy. You can log in using your health card number and clicking on "Vaccine Receipts."

Demand for those receipts could rise in the coming weeks if the government starts demanding those. For example, last month, the Ontario government announced new mandatory rules for staff at long-term care homes, and one requirement was providing proof for each dose.
