A Windsor man has been charged with manslaughter after allegedly providing drugs to a man who died of an overdose.
Officers first began an investigation in March 2021 when they responded to a call for two men in distress.
Both men were hospitalized when officers believed they had consumed illicit drugs. A 22-year-old man from Windsor died at the hospital, and a 32-year-old man recovered. It was determined that the victims overdosed from consuming fentanyl.
Investigators identified a suspect, who they believe is the person responsible for providing the illicit drugs to the victims. The suspect was arrested on Friday.
Luc Bouchard, 35, is facing charges of possession for trafficking, criminal negligence causing bodily harm and manslaughter. The charges have not been proven in court.
