Heavy rainfall on Friday caused flooding at both Windsor Regional Hospital campuses.
Hospital officials say patient services have not been impacted with the exception of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at the Ouellette campus. The lab is now closed until at least late Monday. Emergency patients will be rerouted to other hospitals while non-emergent procedures will be rescheduled. Water is also being cleaned up at the medical device and reprocessing unit, in the operating rooms, and in the kitchens.
The parking garage at the Ouellette campus is also experiencing flooding. Anyone arriving at the parking garage will be directed by security personnel.
At the Met campus, water is being cleaned up in the kitchen, Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging, Medical Day Care and the pediatrics unit. All patient services continue in these areas.
The rainfall is expected to continue in the region until Saturday morning.
