WECHU reports three new cases over the weekend

There are now only 14 active cases of COVID-19 in the Windsor region.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit confirmed three more cases over the weekend. There were two cases reported on July 18 and one case reported on July 19.

There have been 16,847 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since March 2020.

Among the active cases, three have been identified as involving a variant of concern.

Local hospitals are treating three patients who have tested positive for the virus.

There have been 513,036 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine given out in Windsor-Essex. To date, 76.3 per cent of adults have received one dose and 63.4 per cent are fully vaccinated.  To book an appointment at a mass vaccination clinic go to wevax.ca.  Residents can also get a vaccine by going to one of many pop-up clinics planned during the month of July.
