Windsor Police are asking the public for help in finding a vehicle and a suspect in a sexual assault last month.
Officers responded shortly before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29 to the area of Windsor Avenue and Giles Boulevard East on a report of a sexual assault that had just taken place.
The female victim told police that she was walking in the area when a vehicle approached. The male driver then tried to talk to her. There was also a male passenger.
The investigation revealed that the driver sexually assaulted the woman, according to Constable Talya Natyshak.
The driver was described as a male of Middle Eastern descent, who spoke unaccented English. He had a small build, was 6' tall, and was between 30 and 40 years old. He had short dark hair with a scruffy face and was wearing a shirt and long pants. The passenger was a male.
The vehicle was described as a newer, white compact model with dark-tinted windows.
Police have released surveillance-camera screengrabs of the vehicle and are asking residents to take a look.
