A new exhibit at the Windsor Art Gallery will feature drawings, paintings, and textiles from the same artists whose work now adorns the footings of the new Gordie Howe International Bridge.
Naomi Peters of the Caldwell First Nation, and Teresa Altiman and Daisy White of the Walpole Island First Nation were commissioned to create the murals on the bridge tower forms on the Canadian side of the bridge.
The exhibit features the artists' new work illustrating the themes of nature, teaching, philosophy, and cultural pride.
The exhibit, a partnership with the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority, also includes a large-scale model of the Gordie Howe International Bridge.

Tours for small groups and the general public will be available, along with targeted presentations by the artists. A workshop, lead by Peters and White, is offered for students in secondary and post-secondary school.
The exhibit opens on August 12.
