Windsor reopens employment centre to in-person business

If you're looking for help in finding a job, the City of Windsor now has another option available.

The City's Employment and Training Services (ETC) Resource Centre has reopened for in-person assistance after being restricted to virtual and telephone services due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The centre, located at 400 City Hall Square East, reopened its offices on Monday.

The ETS Centre will offer face-to-face service for intake applications and whenever clients are needed to sign documents. The reopening of the centre comes as the region continues to reopen under Step Three of Ontario's COVID-19 Roadmap to Reopen.

"Now that there is optimism that we are moving into a more positive economic environment with jobs available in Windsor and Essex County, staff and management at Employment and Training Services can’t wait to help the unemployed and underemployed find their next career," read a media release from the City.

Restrictions on capacity remain in place, with any walk-in clients being encouraged to make appointments. Face coverings and physical distancing are still required. Clients can also use a dropbox to leave documents outside the building.

Complete information on ETS Centre services, along with resources for those looking for work or wanting to hire, can be found on the City's official website.
