Windsor police's Amherstburg detachment is looking for a vehicle connected to a theft at a business.
It happened shortly after 4 a.m. Wednesday. Officers responded to an alarm coming from a business at Sandwich Street North and Alma Street and determined that it had been broken into. A K-9 officer was brought in to help search the building and surrounding area for suspects, but none were found, according to Constable Talya Natyshak.
Police believe two people were involved in the break-in, and a security camera picked up the image of a suspect vehicle, which investigators think was parked in the area since 2:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Residents and business owners in the neighbourhood are being asked to check any security camera footage for potential evidence. If any is found, they should give police a call if anything unusual.
