Forest Glade restaurant patrons warned to watch for symptoms of COVID-19

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit warns patrons at an east-end restaurant they may have been exposed to COVID-19.

It issued an exposure notice for Parks and Rec Gastropub Sports Bar.

The date of exposure is October 3, between 5 p.m. and midnight.

Those there on that evening are asked to watch for symptoms for two weeks. If they suffer any, they should get a COVID-19 test immediately.

On Friday, the health unit reported 36 new cases of COVID-19.  Eight of them are still being investigated by public health officials, but 18 were from close contact with another confirmed case.  Another six people were infected in the community, while travel and outbreaks accounted for two cases each.

There are 255 active cases across the region, including 157 involving a variant of concern.
