Potential COVID-19 alert at a Windsor church

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has asked anyone who attended a local church to watch themselves for COVID-19 symptoms.

The health unit identified on Monday a potential COVID-19 exposure point at Oakwood Bible Chapel, on Cabana Road West in Windsor.

Anyone who was at the church on Sunday, October 10 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. is asked to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days from the date of exposure.

The health unit has said the risk of exposure is low, but if you experience symptoms, get a COVID-19 test immediately, then contact your health care provider for further instructions.

This exposure is the only active one reported by the health unit.
