One Windsor school was locked down and another placed in "hold and secure" mode Wednesday because of a police investigation.
According to the Greater Essex County District School Board, Vincent Massey high school was placed in lockdown status after a report of a possible risk to student and staff safety in the building. A hold and secure was also placed on Glenwood Public School.
The Windsor Police Service said they were conducting an active investigation on Liberty Street. Officers confirmed there was no risk to public safety and the lockdown was lifted.
The lockdown lasted around 35 minutes.
