Two Windsorites win new wealth on OLG games

Two lucky Windsorites have some extra funds to spend on whatever they please ahead of the busiest shopping season of the year.

Following two separate lottery wins, the pair of OLG players picked up two cheques totalling over $3.1-million after playing an Instant ticket and Encore.

Windsor's Glenn Weitz said he "treated" himself to a Triple Millions scratch ticket after winning $100 on his favourite Poker Lotto online game when he discovered his $3-million win.

"After matching three numbers, I had to count the zeroes. I went back into the store and the clerk's eyes went wide. We started celebrating together! The other customers were jumping up and down!" Weitz said.

The Windsor construction worker said he is "thrilled" and plans to use his winnings responsibly by investing most of the funds to provide for his family in the future.

Weitz's multi-million-dollar winning ticket was sold at MS Lakeshore Convenience on County Road 22 in Emeryville.

Elsewhere in Windsor, Kimberly Eldridge was fortunate enough to match the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order on her Lotto Max ticket from the September 24 draw earning her $100,000. She also won an additional $20 from her ticket for a total win of $100,020.

Eldridge purchased her winning ticket during a shopping trip at Zehrs on Tecumseh Road in Windsor.
